The Science Behind Wireless Power Charging Mats
Although technology and the mobile accessories markets change quickly, at Dexim, we provide cutting-edge portable power solutions for your mobile devices. With the release of new products, sometimes our curious and valued customers ask us questions to see if our new product is the right fit for their needs.
One of our newest products is the Dexim Frixbee Wireless Power Charging Mat for iPhone 4. What is a wireless power charging mat, and how does it work?
First, the device allows you to charge multiple gadgets simultaneously. In the case of the Frixbee, up to two iPhone 4 devices are charged by simply resting the device on the power mat. The power mat eliminates tangled wires and device-specific cords and adapters.
Secondly, the power mat connects to your phone using magnetic induction by employing an electromagnetic field to transfer energy between the power mat and phone. One component to the system includes using a specific case for your iPhone 4. Because the power charging mat relies on a link to the case, you must use our specific, magnetized case—available in black —to connect with the Frixbee. Top 3 Things We Wish Our iPhones Could Do (Plus One Bonus Wish!)
If you own an Apple iDevice, chances are you’re loyal to the company and believe in Apple’s mission of innovation and providing revolutionary electronic devices to its customers. While Apple uses, develops, and supports cutting-edge technology, we have to wonder sometimes–why aren’t certain features included on our iPhones?
Here’s a list of the top 3 things we wish our iPhones could do:
3. Cancel a text that is in the process of being sent. How many times have you sent a text and wished you could cancel it? Maybe you misspelled a word or sent a text to the wrong person. If you’d like to suggest this feature to Apple, click here.
2. Turn-by-turn voice navigation using the Google map app. Picture this: you don’t own a GPS device, and you’re in the middle of nowhere. You need directions, but you need to keep both hands on the wheel while driving. Unfortunately, Google Maps, a standard app available on all iPhones, has yet to release a free voice navigation feature. MapQuest, however, offers the voice navigation feature within its app. The problem—it’s not standard to the overall phone, and you cannot delete standard apps, such as Google Maps, from any iPhone.
1. Replace our keys and wallet. If you’ve yet to hear about near field communication technology, let us introduce you to the idea and how NFC technology will change your life. NFC is short range communication technology that will allow you to complete everyday tasks more easily, such as paying for a cup of coffee. The days of heavy wallets and bulky key rings may soon disappear!
